SPREADSHEET WORKSPACE
Terms for Using CombineSheets
These terms of use and refund policy explain the conditions for using CombineSheets, the limits of its spreadsheet outputs, and how one-time passes work. Read them before relying on an exported file or choosing a pass. Questions about these terms can be sent to support@combinesheets.com.
Terms of use for the spreadsheet tools
CombineSheets processes spreadsheet data locally in your browser. The tools combine selected tables, keep selected worksheets separate in an XLSX workbook, split worksheets or row batches into files, and rebuild worksheet values as PDF tables. Split and PDF outputs are delivered in ZIP downloads.
Supported input formats are XLSX, XLS, XLSM, ODS, and UTF-8 CSV. Detection checks file contents rather than relying only on extensions. Password-protected and encrypted files are rejected. Available output formats depend on the operation: XLSX and CSV for merge and split, and PDF for worksheet reading copies.
File contents, file names, sheet names, headers, and cell values are not uploaded. Account, order, payment, and hosting information is handled separately as described in the privacy notice. Local file processing does not mean every function of the website operates without a network connection.
Acceptable use
Use only files you own or have permission to process. You are responsible for deciding whether you may use the data and whether the intended recipients may receive it. Do not use the service to process or distribute illegal content.
Do not interfere with the service, misuse accounts or payment systems, or attempt to access another person's account. Use your own account for pass access. These conditions apply alongside the technical limits shown for each tool.
Keep originals and check every output
Keep an unchanged copy of your source files. The outputs are working copies of values, not backups of the full original workbooks. Check the selected inputs and worksheets, the column report, output row counts, and representative values before using or sharing a result.
For example, the January workbook and February CSV contain a deliberate duplicate. Removing it changes the output row count. Your own repeated records may be intentional, so choose duplicate removal according to the purpose of your data.
You are responsible for checking calculations and downstream imports. Inspect identifiers, blank cells, zeros, and any totals that matter to your task. When sharing a ZIP or extracted files, confirm that each recipient receives only the intended information.
Values-only and PDF limitations
Formula expressions are not preserved. A formula exports its last saved value, which may be older than the latest changes to its inputs. Recalculate and save in your spreadsheet app before processing. If a formula has no saved value, export stops and asks you to recalculate and save.
Formatting, including fonts, fills, borders, column widths, merged-cell layout, conditional formatting, and data validation, is not preserved. Comments, images, charts, pivot objects, macros, and external links are also lost. A pass does not change these limitations.
PDF output is a new table layout of cell values, not the spreadsheet app's print view. It does not reproduce original print areas, page breaks, headers, footers, charts, images, or cell styling. PDF text must use Western European Latin-1 characters; sheets containing other scripts or emoji are stopped.
Limits and availability
The pricing page lists free and pass allowances. Input size is the combined size of selected files, not an allowance for each file. Cell guards protect browser memory, but a device can run out of memory below them. Phone limits for merge and split, and PDF-specific cell guards, apply to every tier. PDF input limits are the same on phones as on other devices.
The service may be interrupted or changed, and checkout may not always be available. We do not promise uninterrupted access or that every supported file will export successfully on every device. Review the current tool descriptions before starting a task that depends on a particular output.
One-time passes
The 30-day pass costs $4.90; the 365-day pass costs $14.90, in USD. Passes are paid once through PayPal. Sign-in is required to connect access to your personal account. Passes are not transferable.
Pass prices can change, but a price change does not affect passes already bought, and a pass bought at an earlier price keeps its full duration.
Pass time starts when payment succeeds. Another purchase while a pass is active adds the new days after its current end date. There is no automatic renewal, no subscription, and nothing to cancel. When the pass ends, the account returns to free limits.
Passes increase batch size, file count, multi-workbook split outputs, PDF worksheet counts, and the merge and split cell guard as listed on the pricing page. They do not add device memory or remove character, format, or values-only restrictions.
Refunds
If a supported file fails to export, request a refund within 7 days of purchase. Email support@combinesheets.com with the order reference and the error message. You do not need to send the confidential file or its cell contents.
A full refund ends the pass. This policy concerns supported files that fail to export; it does not promise that a pass will preserve formulas, formatting, or the original PDF print layout. Review those limitations before choosing a pass.
Responsibility and liability
Use the output only after checking that it meets your needs. We cannot check your original records or determine the business meaning of a missing value, duplicate, or changed total because the spreadsheet data stays on your device.
To the extent allowed by applicable law, we are not responsible for losses caused by relying on unchecked outputs, losing originals, or sharing files with the wrong recipients. These terms do not remove rights or responsibilities that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
Contact and changes to these terms
Contact support@combinesheets.com for terms, account, or refund questions. Include an order reference where relevant, and avoid sending confidential spreadsheets. We may update these terms as the service or its conditions change. Review the current terms when planning future use or another pass purchase.
